In spring, 2018, the
First session of II English Forum for University Students took place at Tomsk
State University. It was undertaken in the framework of the Project “Foreign
Language Competence Development of TSU Students” in which the students of seven
Departments took place: Geology and Geography Faculty, Faculty of Chemistry,
Faculty of Physics, Institute of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science,
Faculty of Journalism, Institute of Economics and Management.
On November, 27,
the Second session of the Forum was held and II Science Students Conference
with the participation of the students of Radiophysics took place. Svetlana
A. Prokopenko, Deputy Dean of the
Faculty of Radiophysics, Candidate of Physics and Mathematics, Associate
Professor, Valentina V. Bryukhanova Candidate of Physics and Mathematics,
Associate Professor, and other distinguished guests participated in the plenary
session.
The welcome speeches were delivered by Grigoriy E.
Dunaevskiy, the head of the Department of Radioelectronics, Doctor of Technical
Sciences, professor, Kirill A. Lozovoy, Candidate of Physics and Mathematics,
Associate professor, Maksim L. Gromov, Candidate of Physics and Mathematics,
Associate professor, Alexander Tvardovskiy, student of Master’s Degree in
Radiophysics. The students of the Faculty of Radiophysics Anna
Bushmakina, Eddy Kim and Vladimir Vinarskiy made presentations at the plenary
session.
After the break during which students posters reports were presented
the participants could choose one of the four parallel sessions for further
work. In total 33 students presented their reports dealing with relevant issues
related to photonics, nanoelectronics, laser technologies, telecommunications,
etc. The enthusiastic and creative atmosphere of the conference encouraged the students to continue doing
research and sharing experience.
