The lecture on the topic Hydrological Aspects of Physical Geography

The lecture comprised two parts. In the first one, the lecturer, Alexander S. Tarasov (Assistant, Department of Hydrology FGG TSU), stressed the students’ attention to one of the most important aspects of the modern Earth Science – water pollution. In particular, pollution of the world ocean with plastic was mentioned. At the end of this part, the students completed a quiz with the questions concerning a modern state of the world ocean.

The second part of the lecture was devoted to the upcoming Earth Day which is annually celebrated all over the world on April 22. Here were revealed the first celebration of Earth Day and more than thirty years of history of positive climate changes which resulted from the people’s increased attention to ecological problems.


At the end of the lecture, the conclusion was made and the lecturer answered the students’ questions.
