We are pleased to inform you that on 20-23 November, 2017 first-year students of the Biological Institute of Tomsk State University will attend the Paleontological museum of TSU.
The workshop for the participants of the project “Foreign language competence development of TSU students” will cover the topics referring to the evolutionary processes of the biosphere, particular species of flora and fauna, and paleobotany.
The Paleontological museum of TSU named after Prof. V.A. Khakhlov was established in 1926, although the first exhibits began to arrive in 1878, the year of foundation of the first Siberian university. So, the Museum possesses a rich collection of mammalian bones and teeth, and other natural paleontological objects.
The workshop “The exposition of the Paleontological museum of TSU” will be held in the English language by the staff of the museum, which is located in TSU main building, room 234.
The event is organized in the frame of the Decade of Museums of TSU.
The senior teachers of the Department of the English Language for Natural Sciences, Physics and Mathematics Faculties Elena A. Melnikova and Elena V. Vychuzhanina are responsible for the event.
