The second session of the series of lectures delivered by Dr Roberto Cazzolla Gatti

The second session of the series of lectures delivered by Dr Roberto Cazzolla Gatti was held on the 13th of April, 2017.

First-year students of Biological Institute, TSU were given a comprehensive outline of the latest researches on human development and environmental protection.

The lecturer emphasized the hot spots in the area, singled out the problems and suggested the solutions.

The students, who are the participants of «The project for English-speaking environment formation for the students of TSU», found the presentation informative and amusing as well.

Dr Gatti continued to develop his concept of Biodiversity as a key feature of ecosystem services, which contributes greatly to sustaining humanity. Speaking about the main disturbances to biodiversity Mr. Gatti mentioned the fast-growing population of the planet.

This statement was not left without attention and involved all the present into discussion.

The teachers and the students felt very lucky to have an amazing opportunity to share the thoughts and expectations with the scientist who has such a clear understanding of the processes that are going on in the modern world.

The students gained a deeper insight of the current problems of the environment and could brush up their language skills as the presentation and further discussion were held in English.
