TSU student became the the best web developer on WorldSkills Russia

Denis Sharapov, a student of the Scientific Research Institute of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science Experts named the best web developer among Russian students of the First National Inter-university Championship "Young Professionals" (WorldSkills Russia).

Earlier the students of TSU for the first time took part in the international championship of professional skills WorldSkills Russia. They competed in such areas as web development, IT solutions for business on the "1C: Enterprise 8" platform, mobile robotics, entrepreneurship, laboratory and chemical analysis, graphic design, and tourism.

Denis Sharapov participated in "Web Development" with students from 26 universities and won first place.

- The first day of the competition was devoted to the creation of a small browser game. The second one was devoted to the development of the site of the realtor agency. It was necessary to go through all the stages of the product creation – from designing in Photoshop to programming the server logic. But the most important thing is the time limit. We have only six hours every day, – said Denis Sharapov.

It is specified that 430 students from 83 universities took part in the First National Inter-university Championship WorldSkills Russia. They competed in 36 competencies. TSU took part in 6 of them and became the only university representing the Tomsk Region at the championship.

WorldSkills is the international non-profit movement which goal is to enhance the prestige of professional education professions and the development of professional education, unites 75 countries. Annually regional, district and national championships take place. In the Tomsk Region, the WorldSkills Championship is held since 2015.
