TSU’s massive open online courses (MOOCs) are well known in Russia and abroad. Recently, the Presentation Skills course entered the top 20 most demanded, according to the ranking of Class Central, the main English MOOC search engine. “The best online courses of all time” ranking was compiled based on feedback from 125,000 users. The TSU online course Presentation Skills has already gathered more than 100,000 listeners all over the world.

- This online course was created in 2017 by TSU in collaboration with the Foundation for the Development of Online Education and posted on one of the most popular platforms - Coursera. The author of the course is Alexey Kapterev, a staff member of the Graduate School of Business, Lomonosov Moscow State University, - says Mikhail Shepel, director of IDE TSU. - The course teaches the art of presentation and is designed for a wide range of users: managers, scientists, students, officials, and businessmen - everyone needing to speak in public. It ranked at the top of the UK's premier MOOC search engine and also became the leader in two categories: business software and presentation software.

As Mikhail Shepel notes, TSU produces many courses in conjunction with partners. Companies are content providers, and a university with extensive experience in MOOC production is responsible for the pedagogical design of the project - this is what determines the effectiveness of an online course and its popularity among users.

- Rankings are a very indicative assessment. It is impossible to get to the top without significant results, - explains Mikhail Shepel. - The presence of TSU MOOCs at the top lines of the rankings confirms the high quality of distance education at TSU and the skill of specialists who produce products for the e-learning market. This makes TSU recognizable worldwide. For example, this year Career Planning: Resume / CV, Cover Letter, Interview course was included in the twenty most popular MOOCs in the world in July according to the Class Central portal. The author of the course is Peter Mitchell, Head of the Department of Translation and Language Communications, TSU Faculty of Foreign Languages.

Earlier in the spring of 2020, the Presentation Skills course was ranked in the top 5 presentation skills courses compiled by Vogue in India.
