TSU is in the QS top 250 and top 100 most international universities

Tomsk State University took 250th place in the new ranking of the best universities in the world, QS World University Rankings 2021. The Quacquarelli Symonds ranking is one of the most respected in the academic community. For 8 years, TSU has shown positive dynamics there.

- We have always emphasized that rankings are not the final goal for universities, but they help to evaluate the correctness of the chosen development vector. In this case, TSU has followed the course towards the formation of the university’s ecosystem and the export of educational technologies, TSU Rector Eduard Galazhinsky commented on the success of the university. - I want to thank all the staff for such a result.

TSU entered 21% of the strongest universities in the world. The university showed noticeable growth (+18 points) in terms of international student ratio, becoming 95th in the world, and in academic reputation (+23 points) - this indicator has the largest weight and accounts for 40% of the total university score. By the faculty/student ratio, TSU takes 29th place among world universities. Overall, the TSU position has risen by 18 points.

The Russian Federation is represented by 32 higher educational institutions in the QS 2021. TPU, the second Tomsk university in this ranking, took 401st place (387 last year).

As it was a year ago, the top line of the best universities in the world is the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the second is Stanford University, and Harvard University retained third place.
