TSU students and staff go on break from March 28 to April 5

27 March 2020

Russian President Vladimir Putin, in an address to the citizens of the country, said that due to the threat of the spread of coronavirus infection, next week is declared a nonworking (and nonacademic week). At TSU, this decision will affect all staff members and students: they will go on break from March 28 to April 5.

- Universities began to make the switch to distance learning. This is a big and difficult process. So, at TSU in the second semester, we have 4,900 courses, of which 4,500 are using distance education. We still need to introduce 400 courses and finalize the existing ones, -said TSU Rector Eduard Galazhinsky. - The days off will help not only teachers but also students to get together: to consolidate and organize the knowledge gained, to enter the zone of distance comfort. The additional days off will give an opportunity, getting rid of the administrative burden, to make a full transition to online education.

We remind you that the distance learning format will last until April 30.
