TSU entered the THE ranking in engineering and technology

The subject ranking of Times Higher Education (THE) in engineering and technology was announced today: TSU has entered the 251-300 group and took the 3rd-4th positions among Russian universities with MIPT.

This is the first time that Tomsk State University has been in the subject ranking of THE in this area, which includes 500 universities from 50 countries.

The areas assessed are General Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Chemical Engineering.

- This year, the THE World University Rankings for Engineering and Technology subjects has significantly expanded the number of top universities - from 100 to 500. And while last year this ranking did not include any university from Russia, now it has 10 universities from our country. We demonstrated high rates of citation, academic reputation, and reputation of teachers, - said Irina Zholobova, director of the Information and Analytical Centre of TSU.

In September 2017, Tomsk State University entered the group of 201-250 in the international ranking Times Higher Education in Humanities, which includes only five universities from Russia. In the global world ranking by THE, Tomsk State University is in the group of 501-600; in the QS ranking it is 323rd.
