TSU will organize education programmes for students from Singapore

TSU is developing partnerships with universities from South-East Asia: Artyom Rykun, Vice-Rector for International Affairs visited one of the best universities in the region, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), in Singapore). Academic exchange opportunities for students and professors were discussed at the meeting.

In 2016, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between TSU and Nanyang Technological University, which ranks 13th in the ranking of QS World University Rankings 2016/2017. After that, TSU held a summer school of the Russian language for 20 students from Singapore and at the request of the students at Nanyang Technological University, lessons in the Russian language were organized for the first time, for 40 students.

- With the Er Meng Hwa, Vice-President (International Affairs) we discussed the organization of long-term education programmes for students from Singapore at TSU - says Artyom Rykun. - The greatest interest was aroused by the schools and by internships in which language education will be complemented by, for example, special courses on biodiversity and climate change. In particular, the participation of students and professors from Singapore in schools based at TSU’s Aktru station is planned.
