The new Master’s programme Legal Security of the Development and Management of Natural Resources will begin at the Law Institute of TSU in September 2016
The Master's degree programme will train professionals to work in the areas of oil and gas, public authorities, urban development areas, forestry and water management, environmental protection, and others. Currently, among lawyers there are few specialists with knowledge of natural resources legislation, but they are very much in demand.
- Over the past year about 300,000 legal disputes pertaining to land were considered in Russia, - says Elena Boltanova, a curator of the Master’s programme andprofessor at the Law Institute. - This is one of the most painful conflict areas because of the private interests that will inevitably collide with the interests of the public.
