TSU is in the world's top-300 in physics and astronomy and languages

Quacquarelli Symonds has published the results of the QS World University Rankings by Subject. TSU entered the 300 best universities of the world in two subject areas: Physics and Astronomy and Modern Languages.

The QS ranking is based on universities’ academic reputation, results of research activities, and graduates’ reputation among employers. 17 Russian universities entered the list according to various subject areas. Tomsk State University took 251st place in the rankings of Physics and Astronomy and Modern Languages.

- We have more than a decade working with this momentum, - said Vladislav Bagrov, Professor of TSU. - Our physicists are always recognized in the world in the areas in which we are active, we publish results of our research in specialized top-rated journals.

10 Russian universities entered the top of the best universities in the world in the subject area Physics and Astronomy (400 places). Compared with last year, TSU has risen in the subject rating by 50 points. Only 5 Russian universities entered the top of the best universities in Modern Languages (300 places), while TSU maintained its position from last year.
