TSU has acquired an installation for training in industrial robotics

14 March 2016

TSU has acquired universal equipment for training specialists-engineers in the automation of technological processes of various industries, including flammable and explosive ones. The training platform of Camozzi (a world leader in the production of pneumatic equipment) will allow learning in practice the basics of programmable logic control, pneumatics, and pneumatic automation.

- The universality of equipment means the ability to master all of the logical chain present in modern automated industrial systems, - says Eugene Borzenko, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Physics and Engineering. - All things being equal, pneumatic actuators are characterized by high reliability and safety. Therefore, we place special emphasis on this equipment for bachelor’s and master’s students.

Modern industrial controllers and pneumatic elements that are included in the educational platform give the chance to train TSU students in programming robotic systems that are maximally approximated to production.

- System knowledge acquired at TSU with advanced didactic equipment allows efficiently organizing production processes in industries - said Alexander Harchenko, Head of Educational and Scientific Centre Camozzi-Pneumatic. - After all, the ability to carry out the synthesis of pneumatic components depends on the competitive advantages of the goods produced.
