International Academic Advisory Board approved TSU’s 2015 activities

Yesterday the International Academic Advisory Board of Tomsk State University, the management body set up after receiving the status of an autonomous institution of higher education in 2014, held its meeting.

Alexander Povalko and Lyudmila Ogorodova, Deputy Ministers of Education and Science of the Russian Federation; Sergey Zhvachkin, Governor of the Tomsk Region; Dmitry V. Zauers, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Open Joint Stock Company Gazprombank; Gregory Dunaevsky, Head of the Department of Radio Electronics of TSU; Pavel Kashkarov, Deputy Director of the National Research Centre Kurchatov Institute; Nikolay Sevastyanov, head of design bureau at Gazprom Space Systems; Nickolay Testoyedov, the General Designer and General Director of JSC Academician M.F. Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems; and Yevgeny Choinzonov, director of the Scientific-Research Institute of Oncology SB RAMS, took part in the meeting chaired by Harry Minh, the plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the State Duma.

TSU Rector Eduard Galazhinsky presented to the International Academic Advisory Board the Tomsk State University activity report for 2015. Also the financial and economic activities of the University and the main priorities for its development in the 2016-2017 year were discussed.

Yesterday, members of the International Academic Advisory Board took part in the opening ceremony of the centre Transsiberian Scientific Way (TSSW), which will become an international platform for organizating joint research of Siberia and dialogue between scientists, government, and business.
