The TSU Institute of Economics and Management held a presentation of International Management - the new master's program, implemented in English. Natalia Chistyakova, the program manager, announced that the program has budget places and that students of different specialties can enroll.
The new program should become one of the flagships at the Institute because it involves a close combination of theory and practice and international status: students will go on internships abroad, and teachers invited from European universities will hold some of the courses.
As Natalya Chistyakova, who is Associate Professor at the IEM Department of Strategic Management and Marketing, explained, there are 4 basic blocks in the new master's program: finance, economics, personnel management, and management. All of them are focused on the international aspect. The program involves European partners - universities and corporations. It is also planned to strengthen the Asia-Pacific track, which today is very promising in economic terms.
In the first two semesters, an active immersion in the basic disciplines of the basic educational units is expected; the third semester is for training by international exchange; and the fourth is for training in partner companies and writing a master's thesis.
- The important point is that we have a so-called pre-module - basic introductory courses in economics and finance - before the basic education begins. This is important for students with non-economic specialties, -explained Natalia Chistyakova.
The International Council, which manages the program, includes representatives of universities and large international companies; among the partners are IBM, PwC, EY, Sberbank, and Unilever. This opens up opportunities for graduates to work in large international companies and corporations. Students at the training stage may also have internships at other companies operating in international markets. In any case, such a specialization significantly expands career horizons.
