Projects of U-NOVUS participants will be included in the Tomsk roadmap

15 October 2018

The participants of the U-NOVUS forum presented 12 projects including the Emergency Button, Digital Hospital, the younger generation loyalty programs, and others. These developments will be included in the Tomsk roadmap. Tomsk State University was the program operator of the event.

This year, the format of the event has changed: instead of traditional discussions, the basis of the forum became a series of workshops from large companies - SIBUR, Rusatom Infrastructure Solutions, and others. The tasks were focused on solving applied problems: digitalization of production, smart materials, knowledge management, digital hospital, smart city, and digitalization of supply chain management.

The result of the workshops was the defense of the projects on which the participants: students and university staff, business and administration representatives worked. TSU employees worked in seven workshops - in creating projects for analyzing the operation of SIBUR equipment, creating a single information field for Tomsk citizens, and also the first in Russia digital medical technology testing ground. In addition, representatives of the University designed precision farming systems, worked on the renovation of residential buildings, the mechanism of interaction between scientists, and planned to open a Center of Competence Management based on data at TSU.

All the projects presented at the closing ceremony will be included in the Tomsk roadmap. It is planned that they will be implemented until 2020, mainly in 2019.

TSU already has experience in the areas presented at the workshops. For example, the university and Tomsk companies initiated the creation of a Smart City cluster within the framework of the Tomsk Smart Technologies Alliance. Together with the EleSy Company the university creates the first domestic software tool complex for the creation of automated control systems for high-tech industries. Employees implement a number of projects on Big Data, for example, this is the search for talented applicants.
