TSU improved positions in the ranking of Times Higher Education

Tomsk State University entered the world top 600 and became one of the 24 Russian universities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Compared with last year TSU has risen by more than 100 positions and entered the group of 501-600.

- The largest contribution to the success of TSU in this ranking is marked in indicators reflecting the quality of education, the efficiency of research, innovation, and international activities, - says Vladimir Dyomkin, Vice-Rector for Network-Based Information Activities. - This year, TSU has repeatedly demonstrated the rapid ascent in the world rankings lists such as QS, QS BRICS, and QS EECA.

In the ranking of THE assessment of universities is carried out by 4 indicators: Teaching, Research, Knowledge transfer, International outlook. These areas are included in the other ranking indicators of top universities in the world. Therefore, the promotion of TSU in THE ranking was the expected result of the university system collective work, - said the Vice-Rector.

- Today TSU participates in 7 international and 3 national universities rankings. This allows international experts to get more complete information about our university, the level of public recognition of its development, its reputation, and solvency on the basis of comprehensive characteristics and objective assessment of our activities, - said Vladimir Dyomkin.

This year Tomsk State University also showed high growth in the global ranking of universities QS. TSU took the 377th place in the list, rising up over the previous year at 104 positions.
