TSU entered the top 10 universities of Russia in the Nature Index

Tomsk State University has entered the top 25 universities in Eastern Europe according to the rating Nature Index of Rising Stars. The rating identifies rising stars in the world of science, using data of the authoritative magazine Nature.

TSU became the 17th in Eastern Europe and the 6th in Russia.

The top 25 includes universities, which in a short period made a big progress in the research area. The rating estimated increase in the number of publications (WFC) of countries in 68 leading international scientific journals from 2012 to 2015 in the following areas: natural sciences, physics, chemistry, nanotechnologies, photonics, and earth sciences. The study of more than 8,000 global scientific and educational organizations were taken into account.

WFC TSU increased by 322, 95%, and the largest increase is observed in the direction Physical Science.

It should be noted that among the leaders are the leading Russian research universities that participate in the initiative project "5-100" of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
